Blue Lace Agate is a banded chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family.  Blue Lace Agate has been discovered with the artifacts of Neolithic people.  Amulets and ornaments have been dated back to Babylon, and medicinally Agate was used during Ancient Greek and Egyptian civilizations.
