Copper and Amazonite Necklace is hand made using 99.9% pure American made copper. Amazing bright green all natural Amazonite with a Malaysian Jade accent stone.  Bare copper patinaed and polished to show detail then coated to prevent tarnish and enhance shine.  Includes a 18.5″ faceted copper ball chain that can be cut to preferred size.  Pendant will accept other cords as well.  Gift box and shipping included.

About AMAZONITE

Amazonite occurs all of the world including Brazil, China, Libya, Mongolia, South Africa, United States,

Amazonite is usually pale green, but can sometimes be blue-green, turquoise or yellow-green and can also have white streaks.

Amazonite is named after the Amazon River even though it is not actually found in the River. It is assumed it is name after the lush green tropical forest the Amazon River flows through.

Amazonian Tribe women warriors were thought to have adorned their shields with it around 10th century B.C. Ancient Egyptians favorited it and King Tutankhamuns tomb had Amazonite inlays in it.  Amazonite has been thought to attract hope and faith.

Amazonite is a translucent to opaque feldspar gemstone with a pretty green color. It is the greenish variety of the mineral Microcline.

Care of AMAZONITE

Amazonite is sensitive to chemicals, abrasives, heat, acids and ammonia. Never use a steamer, hot water or ultrasonic cleaners with this gemstone. Use mild soap and room temperature tap water with a soft cloth to retain the luster of the gemstone. Store in a soft case away from hard objects to avoid being scratched.

As with most jewelry its is not recommended to use ultrasonic cleaners, hot water, or chemical cleaners.  Use a polishing cloth or wash with mild soap, warm water and dry throughly.

It is not recommended to wear jewelry while swimming, showering, or in a sauna as the chlorine is not good for the metal or stones.

Avoid wearing while using chemicals such as household cleaners.
