This one-of-a-kind Copper and Amethyst Sparkles Necklace features a deep purple Amethyst gemstone framed in waves of pure raw American-made copper. The pendant is paired with a hand-beaded sparkling micro-faceted Amethyst cord with real copper beads, adding sparkling light and movement to the design. The pendant is also removable, allowing you to wear the Amethyst cord solo or pair the copper-wrapped gemstone with another necklace cord or chain for a versatile, custom look. The copper is polished to a radiant, bright shine and then coated to preserve its brilliance and keep it looking timeless.

About Amethyst

Amethyst was used in jewelry in Ancient Egypt. The greek phrase “a-methystos”, meaning not drunk was given to this crystal because wine during this time was the color purple. Today it is still one of the most popular gemstones around.  Cape Amethyst exhibits eye-catching patterns of opaque and translucent layers giving it a textured appearance with varying degrees of white and clear quartz.

    Avoid leaving your Amethyst in direct sunlight as it can fade the gemstone.  It is best to store in a dark place when not wearing.  Amethyst can be cleaned using a soft cloth and warm water.   Do not use abrasive cleaners. 

    As with most gemstones, ultrasonic cleaners and steamers are not recommended. Store in a soft case away from hard objects to prevent scratches.
