Rose quartz gemstone, is also known as "the heart stone", “bohemian ruby,” “love stone", "pink quartz", or "hyaline quartz". Rose quartz is a pink variety of quartz crystal that is commonly found in Brazil and Madagascar. Rose quartz color can range from strong to pale pink and is translucent.
Known as the Heart Stone, Rose Quartz may have been used as a love token as early as 600 B.C. Ancient Romans and Egyptians prized rose quartz for its powers of beautification. Facial masks of Rose Quartz have been found in the tombs of ancient Egypt as they believed it would clear the complexion and prevent wrinkles. China uses rose quartz as a major carving stone even today.

Care of Rose Quartz
Clean using a soft cloth and soapy water rinsing well and polishing after to remove any soap residue. As with most gemstones, ultrasonic cleaners and steamers are not recommended. Store in a soft case away from hard objects to avoid being scratched.
